The DTS line features three different types of spindles: cantilever mount style and outboard bearing support style.
Cantilever mount style models
are intended for applications where the truing roll traces across the
grinding wheel. These spindles can also be used for plunging applications
where the grinding wheel is relatively thin.
Outboard bearing support
models are required for plunge dressing and truing applications where the
grinding wheel is relatively wide or for when multiple wheels are to be
mounted to the spindle during a single operation.
